Investigation Services of Canada Ltd.
is engaged in in the business of providing private investigative services to insurance, corporate, and legal clients and to the general public. Our privacy policy is in accordance with the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, (PIPEDA). In our activities of collecting personal information, which is other than the name, title, business address, or phone number of any individual, or employee of an organization, we implemented the following privacy policy to protect the personal information:

Accountability


ISC acknowledges that is responsible for the personal information collected and its maintenance. ISC has taken appropriate measures in its procedure to:                                                                                                               A) Protect Personal Information                                                                                                                            B)  Receive and respond to inquires and complaints                                                                                               C)  Train our employees of regulations and policies related to the protection of personal information

We have designated an individual as our Privacy Officer who could be contacted either in writing to our address, or by emailing us at info@investigaioncanada.com. The privacy officer will respond to any inquiries within 30 days.

Purpose of collection


ISC collects information to provide investigative services to our clients. Such services are insurance, corporate and family oriented complex investigations. All requests by our clients is examined whether their request for information is compliant with PIPEDA. ISC may also identify additional purposes for which personal information is collected or used by our establishment at the time of collection of such information.

Consent

Except when inappropriate, ISC requires that an individual's consent be obtained for the collection, use, or disclosure of their personal information. In cases where the obtaining the consent of an individual would defeat the purpose of the investigation, such instances as contravention of law, and breach of agreement, ISC will collect, disclose, and use of personal information in accordance with section 7 of the Personal Information Protection and Electronics Documents ACT, S.C.2000, c. 5 (PIPEDA), or under any other lawful means.

Collection


ISC limits the collection of personal information that is necessary for the purposes our organization have identified. The collection of personal information will be by fair means and in accordance with all applicable laws, and not by misleading or deceiving. Our procedures and policies of collection of personal information are regularly communicated to our investigators.

Use, Disclosure & Retention

Personal information collected by ISC will not be used or disclosed for purposes other than those for which its collected, except with the consent of the individual the information relates to, or as permitted by the law. Personal information will be retained by ISC only as long as necessary for the fulfillment of those purposes for which it was originally collected. Personal information which is no longer required to fulfill our identified purposes will be destroyed, or made anonymous.

Accuracy

Personal information collected and maintained by ISC shall be as accurate, up-to date, and complete as is necessary for its intended purposes. If either ISC, its clients, or individual identifies a significant error or omission, ISC will correct or amend the information as necessary and appropriate. If necessary, ISC will send amended information to third parties who had previous access to the information in question.

Safeguards

Personal information collected and maintained by ISC will be protected by all appropriate safeguards available. ISC will take all physical security measures necessary including properly locking our facilities and personal information in secure and locked filing cabinets that are within premises with alarm systems in place. All employees of ISC have been trained in procedural safeguards and policies are in place to maintain high level of all around security. Electronic information security safeguards such as restricted computer access and passwords are in place. ISC will only transfer sensitive personal information electronically to our clients that are encrypted with a high standard encryption program, and only on need-to know basis. ISC will utilize the latest technology in the disposal and destruction of all personal information that is no longer value for our establishment

Openness

ISC will make specific information about our policies and procedures relating to the protection of personal information and its management. Please forward inquiries to the privacy officer at our establishment.

Access

Upon request to ISC an individual may be informed of the existence, use, and disclosure of of personal information related to the person and may be given access to the information under our control. The individual may be permitted to challenge the accuracy and completeness of that information. In many cases, however the access to the personal information may be denied based on lawful exceptions such as, but not limited to:

1, Commercially confidential information could be revealed.                                                                                    2, The information was collected without consent for the purposes related to an investigation of a breach or an agreement or contravention of a law or other lawful exemption.                                                                               3, Personal information of another person might be revealed.                                                                                  4, Someone's life or security might be in danger or compromised.                                                                           5, Information is protected by the Solicitor/Client privilege.                                                                                     6, When restricted from providing this disclosure under Section 25 (1) of the Private Investigation and Security Guards Act; Revised Statutes of Ontario 1990 Chapter P.25.                                                                                7, The information was generated during a course of formal dispute resolution process.

Compliance

An individual may address a challenge concerning the compliance with the principles governing collection, use and disclosure of personal information and aforementioned policies and procedures to our Privacy Officer.
